The Swiss-made range of IQAir® advanced air cleaning systems is in a league of its own when it comes to air cleaning performance and special features. Even the IQAir® models for household and office use (the IQAir® Allergen 100 and HealthPro® 250) provide matchless air quality and an array of useful features which are offered by no other air cleaning device in the world:

• In the last air purifier test by Germany’s leading independent consumer product test agency (Stiftung Warentest, 9/98), the IQAir® HealthPro® 250 was the only air purifier out of 10 international air cleaners to be awarded the top mark “very good” for the removal of airborne particles. It was shown to remove twice as many airborne particles than the next best device. In their conclusion the test agency found that the IQAir® was the best air cleaner for allergy sufferers, (even better than those air cleaners that carried the seal “suitable for allergy sufferers”).
• Each IQAir® Allergen 100 and IQAir® HealthPro® 250 is individually tested and certified. A handwritten performance certificate (stating the actual test results) is supplied with each air purifier. In the test each model is checked for actual air filtration performance and clean air delivery. While other air cleaners may use filter materials that can theoretically produce over 99% efficiency in a “best-case scenario”, the IQAir® models will not leave the production floor unless the entire air purifier actually provides 99.97% particle-free air for particles down to 0.3 microns.
• The HyperHEPA® technology filters of both models have even been tested in accordance with the world’s most stringent HEPA filter test norm EN1822. According to this test (which is normally applied to filters used for infection control in critical hospital environments), the IQAir®’s HyperHEPA® technology filters have a minimum removal efficiency for airborne particles (such as allergens, bacteria, viruses) of 99.5%, no matter how tiny the particles are. As a result, the IQAir® models retain up to 100 times more airborne particles than conventional HEPA or HEPA-type air cleaners.
• At 0.3 μm particle size their performance exceeds 99.97%, even at the highest fan speed setting.
• At the highest fan speed setting (5) the IQAir® HealthPro® 250 delivers over 350 m3 of cleaned air per hour. That is enough air to filter the air volume of a 4 x 5 x 2.5 metre room more than 7 times per hour.
• While the IQAir® Allergen 100 concentrates solely on the removal of airborne particles, the IQAir® HealthPro® 250 has a unique gas and odour removal filter (V5-Cell™) which removes a wide spectrum of chemicals and odours from the air. This is achieved by using 2.3 kg of special granular media that not only absorbs gases, but also destroys them. (For individuals with Multiple Chemical Sensitivities – MCS, IQAir® offers the MultiGas™ GC model which provides even more granular media for the effective filtration of chemical contaminants.)
• The IQAir®’s sophisticated control panel allows the setting of a daily and weekly timer so that the IQAir® can be programmed for the user’s individual needs.
• All IQAir® filters are designed for maximum capacity, which means that filters have to be changed less often than those of conventional air purifiers. This saves money and also makes good environmental sense.
• The intelligent IQAir® filter life monitor keeps track of each individual filter’s life, taking actual use, fan speed and even programmed pollution levels into account. This means that filters do not have to be changed at regular intervals, but only when they come to the end of their useful life.
• The filter life LEDs on the control panel light up when the filters come to the end of their useful life.
• The patented modular IQAir® housing and filter design allow the user to replace filters in a matter of seconds without the need for any tools.
• For added convenience, each IQAir® is supplied with a remote control.
• The IQAir® HealthPro® 250 is also supplied with a set of 4 casters so it can easily be moved from room to room.
• The powerful IQAir® fan has a free-flow rate of over 1200 m3 per hour. Since the fan is located in the centre of the air cleaner between the noise absorbing filters, the operation noise is effectively reduced. At the lower fan speeds the IQAir® is whisper quiet.
• Various special ducting adaptors (InFlow™, OutFlow™, VM InFlow™) are available which enable IQAir® systems to create positive or negative pressure environments in a matter of minutes. The creation of pressure differentials is mainly used in critical hospital environments to protect patients from harmful airborne microorganisms, but can also be used effectively to keep allergens or pollution out of certain rooms. Further accessories are available to wall mount the systems (VMF™) or to capture pollutants at their source (FlexVac™, VM FlexVac™).
