Odor-Sensitised Individuals

IQAir® advanced air cleaning system are manufactured with great attention to detail in the Swiss IQAir® production facility. All components used in IQAir® Systems have been carefully selected for maximum allergen retention and extra long filter life.

Please note that IQAir® systems with HyperHEPA® filters may give off a slight odour in the first hours of operation. This is the characteristic odour of a true cleanroom-grade HEPA filter. It stems from the food-grade, solvent-free, hotmelt separators holding the pleated filter paper in place. These separators are necessary to guarantee maximum filtration performance and extra long filter life. The odour is 100% non-toxic. The odour is not caused by plastic housing parts, which are made from non-offgasing ABS.

Should this IQAir® system be used in the home or office of an odour-sensitised individual, it is recommended to run the system for several hours on high speed with the windows wide open to eliminate any trapped odours.
